The Big Sister project has been designed and developed by girls, for girls, through a collective of partners.
Through a combination of online resources and practical support, our aim is to use the lived experiences of Big Sisters and their authentic voice to co-produce content and provide practical solutions to help girls navigate their journey through puberty and exercise.

Places for People and Places Foundation

The Group charity the Places Foundation is an independent charitable organisation which provides grants and social investment to ‘improve the lives of people and communities that have experienced disadvantage and are furthest from the labour market’.
Places Leisure
Places Leisure is a social enterprise which is passionate about ‘creating active places and healthy people’ and improving opportunities for communities to be physically active. It experiences over 30 million visits per annum across the 111 leisure facilities that it operates on behalf of local authorities across the country and supports over 69,000 children and adults learning to swim each year.

Hey Girls are the award-winning ‘buy one, donate one’ social enterprise, producing environmentally-friendly period products that fund the fight to end period poverty in the UK. Hey Girls period products are responsibly sourced and made from sustainable materials, offering the functionality of plastic, without the pollution. Everything we create is biodegradable or recyclable so you really are doing good with your period.
